I’m Ashley. Thanks for stopping in. Here’s a little info about me.
I’ve been married to my college sweetheart, Alex, for 6 years. And yes, 23 year old me did get married in a blush wedding dress, but I’m pretty sure I’d make the same choice today.
I recently became a mom to the sweetest little boy, and like most new parents, we are figuring it out as we go. Everyday is a new a adventure-sometimes full of baby chuckles, sometimes full of blowouts, but mostly a little of both.
We have 2 fur babes. They are also adjusting to life with another human in the house, but overall are being champs. Both are rescues. One from a nonprofit, the other from the streets of Mardi Gras Day. Chasing a very disheveled dog while wearing a dino onesie kinda sums up my life most the time.
We did a lot of apartment living, then bought a condo, and with the new guy on the way, decided to buy a house with a yard. I’ve got the inside locked down, but the outside, well, I leave most of it to my husband, but one day, I’m going to tackle this gardening thing.
For work, I’ve been an educator for the past 8ish years. Again, everyday is a new adventure, but it’s been the experience of a lifetime. Kids are the best.
For fun, I love to decorate, craft, and hang with the gal pals.
In this blog, you’ll read some DIY tutorials, probably some “ah ha” mommy moments, and quaint event hosting-since my introvert self can really only entertain up to 10 people at a time.
